Constructed: images of labor
Smith College Museum of Art
23 July—12 September 2010
This exhibition was the culminating project of the Summer Institute in Art Museum Studies at Smith College. My class of 15 students jointly designed the show from works in the museum's permanent collection. Students broke up into four areas of focus: Curatorial, Education, Design/Installation, and Marketing/Events. I was a member of the Marketing team, which worked together with the Design team to brand the show. We came up with the images and text for all printed collateral, wrote a press release, planned the opening event, and strategized a PR campaign to get the word out. I also contributed an essay to the exhibition catalogue, which was published by Smith.

Repeat, reveal, react: identities in flux
Faulconer Gallery, Grinnell College
29 January—21 March 2010
Repeat, Reveal, React was the final project for my Exhibition Seminar course at Grinnell during the fall of 2009. The show opened the following January after installation over winter break and ran through spring break of the next semester. My class curated the exhibition together using works from the college's permanent collection. For this show, I worked with a team of two other students to develop the exhibition catalogue (pictured right) layout and design. We chose the cover image and concept, worked with the in-house graphic designer to brand the publication, and helped proofread all content. I contributed my own scholarly essay to this catalogue, which was published by Grinnell to accompany the exhibition.
Faulconer Gallery has a blurb up about this show. Check out the sweet installation pictures!
